Our Labrador puppies are bred to give you the best possible Labrador pup that money can buy.  A Walker Branch Retriever puppy will be perfect if you want a hunt test or field trial dog, a gun dog, or simply a special family member for life.
At Walker Branch Retrievers, we breed for the love of the dog and we do our best to improve the breed.  We want to provide you with the opportunity to own the best of the best of Labradors! We have been breeding Labradors for 11 years and have faith in our breeding program. That is why we offer an unconditional guarantee that you will be completely pleased with your puppy.

To the best of our knowledge with appropriate 3-5 generation research and health checks, our breeding stock is free of common hereditary defects such as hip and elbow dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy, central retinal atrophy, cataracts, and thyroid disease as well as the less known problems such as labrador myopathy, muscular dystrophy, cardiomyopathy, and dwarfism.

Additionally, all our breeding pairs are proven bird retrievers with each parent having at least one title in retriever events, typically AKC Hunt Tests or Field Trials.   We have national level bitches and studs in our pack with impeccable bloodlines.

Obedient Pups

Our puppies are whelped (born) and raised in the house with the family.  Once whelped, our puppies are introduced to a rigorous socialization program so that when they get to your home, they have already seen, heard or felt everything that life may bring them.  The only unknown will be YOU.  They have been introduced to children, other dogs, cats, the car, crowded places including the mall and the playground, the veterinarian, loud noises (including guns), water, birds, etc.  They are taught to “sit”, walk on a leash, “here”, and “no”.   In fact, usually by 8 weeks our puppies understand the concept of “house-broken” – you only have to reinforce their lessons.

We consider our pups to be permanent members of our family and will continue to be responsible for them their entire life. All Walker Branch Retriever pups are welcome back at any time, for any reason, no questions asked.

It is our belief that genetics and the right environment produce CHAMPIONS. We have had many people make the comment:

"This is the best bred and socialized pup I have ever bought!"

Trained Dogs for Sale

We occasionally have trained dogs for sale. These dogs have been trained, socialized, and molded since they were puppies. You can be confident that these dogs have a solid training foundation. These dogs are an excellent alternative for people who want to skip the "joys" of puppy-hood. Admittedly, there is no "sure thing" when dealing with dogs, but buying an already trained dog can alleviate some of the potential health and performance risks inherent with buying a puppy.
